Leesa Livermore

My love of art began when I was a little girl, inspired by my beautiful Nanna, who was an artist herself. I have fond memories of sitting at her kitchen table, surrounded by creativity, watching her work and discovering the wonderful world of art. Those early experiences planted a seed that has stayed with me throughout my life.

Creativity has always been part of who I am. With a background in graphic design and illustration, I've explored different artistic paths over the years, but painting has become my true passion.

I'm fortunate to live in the beautiful Northern Rivers of New South Wales, where inspiration is everywhere. From magnificent trees and winding country roads to historic buildings and the ever-changing light across the landscape, I'm constantly discovering something that makes me want to pick up a paintbrush.

Colour, light and contrast are at the heart of my work. I love exploring the way sunlight transforms a scene, creating beautiful shadows, unexpected colours and wonderful patterns. My paintings are a celebration of the beauty that surrounds us, including those little details we sometimes forget to notice.

Working in acrylics and oils, I enjoy combining realistic detail with a more expressive approach to colour and atmosphere. I've also been fortunate to learn from talented artists along the way, including my mentor, Andy Reimanis, who has encouraged me to continue developing my own style.

For me, painting is about more than recreating what I see. It's about capturing a moment, a feeling or a connection to a place. I hope my artwork encourages people to slow down, look a little closer and appreciate the extraordinary beauty in everyday life.

In 2026, I had the wonderful opportunity to share my artistic journey on the international art television series Colour In Your Life. It was a special experience to open my studio and share my creative process with art lovers around the world.

Art has brought so much joy and meaning into my life, and I hope that through my paintings, I can share a little of that joy with you.
